I don't recall ever adding that much between services, but I think I sold mine at about 125,000km.
Might be worth investigation of cylinder pressure, but I wouldn't be overly concerned unless you have other symptoms.
hi guys, quick question I can't find an answer too via search or google and what not.
Is 500ml to a liter of oil usage per month (3000km) "normal" for a 2001 V6 petrol engine with 150 thou on the clock?

It is a bit much. If you have no other symptoms I would be looking at valve stem seals. Big job though

						Check the Inlet Manifold.
The amount of Oil those things suck back into the engine is horrific.
I was cruising along Burwood Hwy one day, and smoked out 6 lanes of traffic.
It had sucked up that much oil and 'stored' it inside the Manifold, it now had no other option but to burn most of it!!!
I pulled it all apart, and got almost a litre of Oil drained from inside the Manifold.
If you check out some of the pommy MG and Rover sites, alot of them run oil catch cans.
Have fun.......
