Hey guys. Just moved back to UK after 10 years in Perth, and bought us a 2002 Freelander 1 Td4 as a start before I return to something bigger.
Other than the dash bulb blown or removed, what other reasons might there be that the glow plug light on the dash doesn't show when ignition turned on from cold?
As long as I leave it a while to start over (had diesels before), she starts a dream and runs sweet as.
Cheers all....
Glow plugs are computer controlled on the TD4. The computer switches on the glow plug relay and it gets a feed back from it to turn the light on. You will need to test the output to the glow plug relay and the input from the glow plug relay.
It doesn't leak oil, Its sweating power
