Thread: FL1 tailgate

This sub-forum has gotten very dusty as the numbers have dwindled... I wonder how many FL1s are actually still licenced and on the roads in Australia anymore? Hmmm...

Anyhoo, in case anyone reads this, we have just bought a pre-facelift Td4, regoed, running and driving for the princely sum of $500. It's a bit unusual here as, although we have plenty of sun, I think it's only the first (or second?) 5-door I've seen with a sunroof (and it sort of works!).

The downside is, somebody backed it into something and the tailgate is buggered, glass broken, handle broken and probably the window mech as well, oh and there's a random Tyco relay in the car marked U/S, which when googled apparently has something to do with the tailgate.

So, we're looking, ideally for a complete FL1 tailgate, happy to change window mechanism etc, but *complete* would be good. Bonus points if it's Bonatti Grey, lol.

I see TRS has a couple of cars wrecking, but they're both facelift models and no doubt they probably want an arm and a leg...and a kidney.

Just thought if anyone has a dead FL1 in the backyard, there might be a tailgate that we could give a second life to... We're in WA, but don't expect to find one here.
