Thread: 99 freelander rear window & Biodiesel.... question

HI there - just bought a second hand free lander(99) for the misses as a second small 4x4 ( have a Nissan patrol 4.2TDI )

now rear window is not working - on closer inspection found a few cables missing - and the pulley in the motor looks a little dodgy -- where can i get these from in western sydney and what would be the expected price -- also do you have a drawing on how the set up is supposed to look like ???

also can you run home made bio diesel in this car ( 2 l turbo diesel) - i have been making bio for my Nissan for years now with no issue -- can i run it it the free lander also ??

The window system is pretty simple, but its failure isnt uncommon, so if you can get one from a wreckers, compare with the new price. But call around, as they are in demand. When i replaced my tailgate i had to salvage the window mech from the old one as the replacement tailgates available all had the mech sold.

As for the diesel, the BMW L series diesel is pretty tough and simple, but i have not heard of any attempts.
