    Rear Window

    Hi

We regularly take the dogs in the rear of the Freelander. We have been having a few issues with the rear window. We dont like it to be fully open, just open 3-4 inches. I have found that I need to hold the button down until the window is open the desired amount as a quick press opens it fully. That is fine. But from any open position, the only way close the window is to hold the button until it is completely closed. releasing the button before this results in the window going to the fully open position. Is this normal?

    Yep.

AFAIK the suggestion is that it shouldn't be used at half mast as there is a risk of breaking the glass due to the sides and top being unsupported.

I just put it all the way down. The electric tailgate window is the best feature on the freelander i rekon!

    cheers!

Yep... Second press drops it fully.

BTW - Did you know that you can drop the glass on the remote? Press & hold the unlock button on your key fob, eventually, the glass will drop. To raise it again, stick the key in the lock, turn & hold and the glass will raise. Perfect if you just want to drop some shopping into an already full boot.
