    Front Brake Calipers

    Hi All

Just changed the front pads, and noticed one of the rubber (dust?) seals on the caliper piston is perished.

The piston looked fine, and depressed back in to the caliper OK. So can I simply replace the seal?

I remember this happening on a old car and I ended up having to replace the whole caliper.

Just checked RAVE and didnt find much.

    Cheers

There should be a seal kit available for your Freelander.
For example, SEE100200 is the kit for a 1998 4cyl Freelander. I don't know which model you have though.

Yes, the same. One kit covers both calipers & includes the dust boots over the slides as well as the pistons.

The 2001MY and onwards is SEE100300.
