Thread: bulb

Hi,

I am driving FRL1 XEDI. I want to upgrade my bulbs to HID.
Please give me some advice what type should I go for Conversion Kit or the bulbs without Conversion Kit? what brand is good? where I can buy them? Can I install them myself?

For real HID, you need a kit. For fake HID (blue tinge globes), no kit is required.

Where you get the kit from is up to you. They are available locally for big $$ or from China via eBay for $100 or so.
Just go for a 4300K colour, anything else starts getting blue. The wattage is up to you - 35w or 55w.

I'm not familiar with FL1 headlights - do you just have a single H4 globe in each? If so, you just need one kit.
If you have extra globes with high beam, you need 2 kits.


Also, technically/legally, you need to have self levelling headlights or self levelling suspension along with headlight washers.
