    FL1 TD4 dog guard

Hi guys, I normally frequent the Discovery 1 section but have popped over to ask for help with my parents Freelander 1 TD4. I have bought a genuine 2nd hand dog guard that mounts behind the rear seat for their car but it does not come with the lower mounting brackets that bolt below the lashing eyes in the boot floor. So what I need is the dimensions of these brackets, distance between hole centres being the main one. Being a handy chap I can then fabricate something up to do the job.

    Thanks

    Adrian

Sorry I can't help you Adrian, and I guess by the lack of replies here noone else can aither.

I didn't know you could get a dog guard for the FL1... wouldn't do me much good as my wife's dog has the whole back seat to herself anyway

    Best wishes, Paul.

The guard arrived and I fitted it without the bottom straps, it wobbles too much for my liking and as the folks are off on 4 week trip I thought better make it secure. I removed the rusty floor mounted loop (only the loop and torx bolt are rusty) and got the measuring devices ready. Turns out to be 100mm between centres for holes and 50mm from floor to bottom of guard. The hole inthe guard is 8mm but I will fit a 6mm bolt to allow for cock ups in measuring etc.
