Thread: MY2010 Freelander 2 and MP3 compatibility

Hi,

Does anyone know if the 6CD audio system in an MY2010 Freelander 2 SE can take MP3 CDs?

The stereo is the 6CD-400 model and the brochure mentions that all of the audio systems have MP3 compatibility but I'm not having any luck with the 2 CDs I have tried so far. Both of them say "disk error".
I'd like to know if it is definitely compatible before I try different methods of burning the discs etc.

I think from memory it is although I have had some discs that don't work. Best way though is just use the aux socket and a cheap mp3 player or most phones should work too. Be a good way to reuse an old phone that's just sitting around.

The only problem with that is that the wife or I will leave the phone sitting there in full view which is then a target for thieves. I'd prefer something that we don't have to remember to take with us.
