Thread: How much is too much?

I noticed recently a bit of oil coming out from under my 07 FL2 TD4.

To trim a long story down, it is seeping oil from the joints in the intake pipe, mostly at the front after it leaves the intercooler. I pulled it apart to have a look and indeed there is a dash of oil sitting in there, but no more that a few ml.

So the question is, how much is too much?

Is this normal for a car that has done far too much urban runabout duties the past 9 months? Or is it something I should be worried about?

There is also a slight weep from the first join after the turbo. I did tighten it all up a bit as it wasn't overly firm.

Hi Wade, what was the outcome of this? I found another thread here describing what might be the same thing on another FL2 and now I think it's happened on my Disco Sport which has the same engine as was used in the Freelander.
