Thread: Side Steps

Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased a Freelander 2 2012, TD4 SE. I have been doing some research looking into side steps and have found very little. Basically, I don't like the look of the standard ones at all. I have found some that I think will better suit the car but they are only in the US.

Has anybody heard of Romik before? I have noticed they are mentioned on other threads regarding nudge bars etc. but I haven't heard if anyone has bought them. If anyone has some experience with these or other side steps they can suggest please do let me know.

When I purchased my fl2 it already had side steps fitted .The first time I went off the bitumen the side steps grounded and bent the mounting brackets and pushed the lower door trims off .I was following my brother around in his defender and he had his tool box on board so that I could repair the damage enough that the missus didnt notice . Have since removed them and it is much easier to follow the defender .
