    Freelander 2 TD4 roadnoise?

Had my FL2 for about 2 years now and while I love the vehicle there has
always seemed to be an amount of road noise in the cabin.

Sounds like you can hear the back wheels on the road. Not a harsh noise or anything, just a hollow sound.

Is this a common thing with Freelanders?

Rear diff noise is not unknown, same for rear tyre noise.

There's a software update for the rear diff which is supposed to fix the diff noise problem (before it happens) but if it's noisy now, it may need a new one.

Try and lift the rear seats up as this will increase the noise and may help you pinpoint where it is coming from. It could be as simple as tyre wear increasing the noise.
