Bit of fun at Mt Walker, Lithgow NSW

    Hi all,

Went out with a bunch of nice guys from the forum all with larger 4wd's. First time out so I was in for the challenge. The Freelander performed beyond my (and the groups) expectations, was able to keep up with the big fella's. Bit of fun with the video, hope you enjoy.

Hey, nice work! Good to know our Freelanders are up to the task!
Did you get much knocking noise while on this trip?

Thanks, bit of fun putting together a silly video. Yeah there was a bit of knocking, but was mostly covered up by the banging and crashing of the rocks underneath lol!! Serious now, yeah mostly over corrugated or ruts, apart from that it kept up with the big fellas and embarrassed a Pathfinder and Pagero, was seriously impressed by how it performed. This is no small cooky when it comes to 4wding, everyone agreed that it was the most impressive car of the day!

    What tyres where you using?

    Hi,

Cool video. What tyres where you using? It looks like the same rims as mine and I want to know if I need to get AT tyres to go bush.

    Cheers,
    Paul

    Hey sketchy,

I've got the standard HSE rims running Kumho tyres. These are an on road tyre and performed really well, don't know how it would go in a sticky situation but am more than happy with what I want to do with them, nice and quiet and grips really well. There only 2 mths old but so far so good. As for the video, was taken by phones so clarity is not that good, but just a bit of afternoon fun lol.

That's what I love about LR - off road ability. It is a hallmark of the brand.
