Thread: Reccomendation for reliable service in Melbourne

Hi guys,

Over the past 6mths or so, I've been helping a friend search for a used Land Rover Discovery and after a lot of disappointment, we finally found one in Melbourne. The car was owned privately by Angelo who's a mechanic from Karworx Vehicle Service Centre in Collingwood and all I can say is the condition he kept the car in is outstanding and exceptional. You could see how much he cared for his car and customers and whilst I was there showed the knowledge and consideration that you could only dream from a person who you put your faith in for your pride and joy and your family's safety.

The car we bought from Angelo is a 2003 Discovery 2a and looked and presented like a brand new car, but 10 years old. His workshop floors are painted white and I had no hesitation of laying on the workshop floor to inspect the vehicle before purchasing. Angelo knew what he was talking about and only that I live in Sydney, would have no hesitation on taking my Freelander there for servicing.

I thought I would pass my find for all my fellow Freelander friends or Land Rover owners who may live in Melbourne and looking for a reliable mechanic who knows what they are doing and has a genuine interest in keeping your vehicle in ship shape condition. All I can say is I wished I lived in Melbourne!!

Thanks for sharing your experience. There are always people in Melbourne who are asking for recommended workshops.
I'll be sticking with my usual suspects. I know their strengths an I know their weaknesses.
