Hi Byron
I've sent a note to the Continental tyre rep...they were supposed to bring out the AT tyres in our size sometime this quarter. Will keep you apprised if interested. Can't wait to install the all terrain tyres..
Hi All,
I was just wondering, if anyone has put different rubber on their car, form the continentals, and what brands are good replacements.
Thanks regards

Hi. Just got an MY13 TD4 with 18" rims .. and have been lurking and researching rubber options for AT since! Had I known about scarcity of 18" AT rubber, I'd have insisted on 17" rims
Yesterday I found these Hankook Dynapro ATs - $305 to $368 -
Hankook DYNAPRO ATM RF10 235/60R18 103T Tyres - buy tyres online for the best price
Hankook Dynapro AT-M RF10 Tyres from $167
A bit of the usual web sleuthing turns up a lot of positives as an AT tyre, with a mixed bag of response on sealed road performance. Note that the actual contact area is quite narrower for a 235, and you can see this in the pics.
My summation was that drivers used to good "standard" rubber - Wrangler, Dueller, BFG - found them to be good or better. Drivers used to premium rubber (especially road rubber) were a bit more critical of sealed road performance.
I've most recently run Yokahama Geolander ATs, but also Coopers etc. My 2 wheeled rubber is exclusively Pirelli / Metzeler .. so I have a prejudice against "cheap" tyres.
BUT .. what the hell .. it's an AT in 235/60 18 HOORAY!!!
I also found some low-level imports of a Dueller AT in 235/60 18s. And that was it.
I was looking for road tyres, continental state UHP is this a grade that has to be kept to.
No shortage of road tyres, and plenty of quality about. You're spoilt for choice compared to AT or even HT tyres. I see quality doesn't come cheap, though ..
Yes, just interested as to what brands owners have used and if they were better or worst that the factory fitted continentals.
Thanks
Cheers Baz.

I have been told about Federal Couragia FX they have a 107v rating and UHP rubber, has anyone had feedback on these.
Cheers
