To be honest with you my only experience with Peugeot diesel engines is with the ones fitted in the 403 and 404 and they were awesome!
How are the new ones? I do not know.

From memory, the FL2 and the 407, 4007 and 607 use the same motor. très heureux avec elle. :D

It is all mate :D, in my 68 years I never remember to see a brand of cars that do not have a problem. :)
Then again dad's 1953 Willys was not to bad.............
Debating about which it is better than the other because one example is a joke it self :D
May as well talk about beer...........................................
Our one post wonder hasn't been back since the first post in this thread.
I wonder if (s)he bought a Jeep and has been busy fixing it ever since...:wasntme:
I have a mate thinking of getting into a FL2. He was looking at an Xtrail but apparently there are some nasty stories out there about gearboxes.
What does he look for? Any models he should avoid?
He wants to tow a 15' tinnie (only from his holiday house to the ramp) and also cruising from Melb to Phillip Island. It'll also be his daily driver.
I have virtually no knowledge on FL's as I drive a D2a. Some info will be appreciated.
Really you just have to make sure that the rear diff bearing has been done if not still in warranty. It's the only real issue. Check the remotes to see if the batteries seem in good nick, that is do they open the doors first go. It's a drama if the batteries kark it as they are hard wired in and it is a total pain in the arse using the key. The petrol models are a bit thirsty. All in all they are a good car.
