Thread: Alarm sounds twice when unlocking - Freelander 2

Hi

I have a 2013 Freelander 2. Great car but has developed an annoying problem.

When I go to unlock the car with the fob, the alarm souns off twice.

I have had two auto electricians take a look but neither could identify the problem.

Has anyone come across this problem before? if so please help.

Hi Simon,
I had this issue with a D2 - the rear tailgate was shut, but not properly. I know it’s a different vehicle but check that sensors on all the doors, boot and bonnet are working. Maybe clean them with electrical contact cleaner? Just a suggestion.
