Hi everyone,
I just bought a 2010 Freelander 2 SE TD4 last week with a little over 106000 kms on the clock.
When I picked it up it had a flashing warning message “low coolant level”. The salesman said they had ordered a new sensor (as the coolant level was where it should be) and would install it for me when it arrived, which I am still waiting for to happen.
I was driving it to work this morning and the amber engine light came on. Does anyone know if the two are related? I have been driving it to work for the last 3 days, this morning being the 4th day and the light only just coming on.
Arjan
Hi Arjan,
The engine could be any number of things and probably not related to the low coolant warning.
You'll need to have the car scanned if you don't have a scan tool.
Supercheap auto can do it for you for about $30. Or you probably still have a little warranty left from where you bought it, so get them to check and fix it.
