Thread: EGR delete on 2.2 diesel engine

Anyone done an EGR delete on the 2.2 diesel engine? Was it just a code change in the ECU or any parts need physical removal? What did it cost?

Can't see any downsides myself, but willing to learn from other's experiences.

My EGR failed internally so after a replacement there was also a crack in the cooling unit, availability was a nightmare so deleted by removing the whole unit and had a new map for the ECU. Cash cost was around AUD$700 IIRC.
