			Changing rear brake pads

Just a quick post to let you know that changing the rear brake pads in the FL2 is a simple job that can easily be done at home in under an hour. No special tools are needed.

I ordered the brake pads from BMI for $115 or so who shipped it to me the next day. The process is fairly simple, jack the car up, put jack stands underneath.

Loosen two bolts on the caliper, lift the caliper up, pull out the old pad, drop in the new one. A light smear of copper grease reportedly stops the pads from squealing.

I took it for a drive and did some hard stops from 60-80km/hr to bed the brakes in.

 Saved myself at least $200.

I think changing the discs would be as simple but you may need some hex head bits to get the disc off.
