I Take my hat of to Gold coast Landrover dealership

As alot of you know i had a main ECU fail while we where out at Levuka on the weekend luckily Pete had his spare ,so anyway i pulled out the reciept for when i bought my last ECU and it was installed by GC Landrover on the 11/09/09 and stopped working on the 11/09/10 so it fell exactly on the 12mnth warranty
so i called them up and requested for them to file for a warranty claim which they wanted my car and the computor to do there diagonoses which when i arrived there i had techs rushing for my job card 4 of them come up and prity much said at least we can work on a proper Land rover dont get many cars like this here for those who know my D2 its not exactly stock std

so any way they did there tests and my ECU is rooted and it is a warranty claim and i will have my new one installed in 2 or so days \
YAH i was worried with what my D2 is they where gonna knock back the claim

well done Gold coast Landrover for honouring your warranty
    cheers Kelvin

    Lyntons

    Good news Kelvin
Mate in the 7 odd years we have been using Lyntons to service Kathryn's Discos they have always gone the extra mile when needed. Sure they might be expensive but you get what you pay for.

Glad to hear this had a happy ending.
Did it throw the top switch fault?
I have my spare non-flashable ecu in the car all the time for if this ever happens one day.

    Hi Kelvin,

I am glad all worked out for you without being too far out of pocket.

Any idea why the ECU failed - again?

no idea but topside switch was the fault /cause they where saying something a possible cause could be incorrect jump starting but i have not jumpstarted any one for at least 2yrs and ecu was just on 12mnths old so could have been faulty
    cheers Kelvin
