    Cheeky says

I would just like to add 20c worth to this debate.
I don’t know about any of the previous speaker’s motivation, it’s sometimes difficult on a forum to tell satire from opinion, so you need to take many comments with a grain of salt.

Feel free to disagree with me.

    Opinion
I find it disturbing that one section in a broader group such as the 4WD community would gang up and attempt to limit the freedom of another group.
We all should be on the same side. If modification to 4WD vehicles is outlawed, the same group of tyrants will then work to outlaw 4WD vehicles themselves.
You already pay an excess levy on Diesel because a group called the “Democrats” said you should not be driving Toorak Tractors.
That same group of tyrants posing as friends of the environment wanted Toorak Tractors banned outright.

Their logic was that most 4WD vehicles never leave the tarmac and therefore are a waist of resources, well I for one am proud that I prove them incorrect on a regular basis. What’s more I show my family more Nature and Environment during our adventures than most of the so called environmentalists gets to look at in a lifetime.

To those who wish to complain about my Modified Rover and carp on about it not being Standard, put yours in Low and follow me sunshine.

What’s more if she was still standard she would have moved on to the Happy 4WD Park in the sky by now, probably recycled into some dreary Korean buzz box.

When the Lockers were installed the original diff centers were very much Worn Out. This alone would have killed off the old girl. So adding new locking diff centers saved the car and the energy which would have been consumed turning it into a Buzz Box with a life expectancy of only a 100,000 kms.

So you see Modifying a vehicle saves the environment.

Did you spot where opinion stopped and satire began ?.
