G'day all,It was an early start to the day at 5.30am (still dark and cold- it was hard for me to get out of bed this early), dad & I rugged up, and roared up the motorway as we were scheduled to put our coupe on display early. With about 800 cars on display, credit goes to the small army of RACQ staff who volunteer their time and efforts to make this event run so smoothly. They are well organised and it shows. The exhibitors are too, with the level of vehicle preparation and restoration work at very high levels.
Despite the threat of rain, there were plenty of chaps displaying their various classic, vintage, veteran, military and commercial vehicles and it turned out to be a fine, sunny day. The featured marque this year was Chevrolet, it's the Centenary year.
E-Type Jags celebrated their 50th. There were plenty of 'Heartbeat' cars too (UK TV series and apparently the most popular show on Australian televison) and there was of course plenty of American muscle.
It was a brilliant day and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Good event except for the stuff up getting the cars in.Only the British were delayed getting in and the Bradford boiled.Jowett Bradfords are the 2 cylinder flat engine and don't have fans or water pumps, and don't like lineups.
I know it's hard to believe but GrumpyDoug had a fit of peak when we finaly got parked.I'm past my peak now but the steam streaming out of the Braddy did upset me.
Bradford and Jupiter photos at the event.
