A friend just saw a tender for disposal of 12000 rovers, mogs and trailers.

and manheim has won it.


note: There site is very slow and give server 500 errors, so I haven't been able to see if the vehicle are up yet

Unlikely considering the RFP isn't due for submission until November 2011. Also it states:

"This RFP is NOT seeking preferred providers for disposal options. Proposals will be considered by the Commonwealth in determining whether and how to proceed with any disposal of the Asset(s) so as to achieve the best net outcome for the Commonwealth. Proposals will not be subject to individual evaluation or ranking as part of this RFP."

Keep in mind the "best net outcome for the Commonwealth" may not involve selling through auctions at all. It could involve selling these to friendly countries in the region. Our government gets its money and also strengthens military forces among friendly nations could equal best net outcome to our government.
