Harry, did you pick it up from northern NSW. Has it got speakers mounted wither side of the dash cluster.
Had a mate looking at one very similar with a capstan, but decided he has enough already. Kind of got interested myself but came to the same conclusion. It seemed like a good buy.

Yep, a great buy at 3k Harry.
Especially when it's real value could be closer to double that considering the condition it's in and the upkeep and maintenance carried out by the previous owner!
My upfront offer of 2.5k was what it was worth to me at the time. As Jason pointed out, I already have a series which I never seem to utilise now.
We're all guilty of it, lusting over that next Landy that comes along and the conundrum one goes through talking ourselves in and then out of our next purchase. That we don't really need anyway!
As I said to Lester after he kindly informed me that a chap from the Gold Coast had offered the asking price for it. "That's good, there is a good chance it was someone from the GCLRO who picked it up. It's sure to go to a good home!"
Happy motoring Harry and please consider that whoever may make you an offer on your beloved old D1 may not be out to "dick around" either.
Tod.
