Anzac Day is very important to Dad and I. And during the five long years restoring our ex-military S2A, Dad often said that one of the main reasons for undertaking the task was for the old diggers.
Indeed, the Landrover was road registered only two days before it's first Anzac Day duty in 2008.
So each year we try to ensure the Landrover is ready to transport our veterans in the parade/march.
You can see their walking frames in the back of the old Landrover. And I have seen not only tears glistening in their eyes, but also the spark of life, and the big smiles.
The long and often difficult task of restoring the Landrover has always been worth it.
