Ah bugger. Hope it’s an easy and cheap thing to sort out for you.
Well not quite dead but it's had a melt down! Threw up a "charging system fault" (P065A) (Generator system Performance)
Luckily didn't get out of the driveway! Guessing it's the alternator, checked fuse and ok. Now it's thrown a hissy fit and coming up with a lot of different faults, ABS,DSC etc and won't start at all. When it was running I noticed the volt meter didn't move which confirmed the message on the dash.
Looks like it's on a flat bed on Monday.
Cheers
Scott.

Thanks TB, but it's a Land Rover so it more than likely be $$$
Cheers
Scott.
Hi Scott, do not attempt to drive your D4 and if you have a multi meter, measure the cranking battery voltage.
If you have had an alternator meltdown, which because of a major Land Rover design flaw, does not give you the indication on your dash, your battery voltage will be down round 7v.
If the is the case, you need to disconnect the battery terminals and try to recharge the battery.
Unfortunately, your battery is probably damaged already.
New alternator for mine on next OS order. 240,000km in the original, and pushing my luck I suspect.

G'day Bob
For the record mines done about 142,000 if thats what it is so your doing well.
Scott.
I think it is age that is the problem, not distance, so 2010 models are starting to fail, hence why I replaced mine.
