Try redbook.com.au and look up whatever versions you want. You can compare several models at a time and should list everything from the big stuff (ie 6 speed to 8 speed auto, engine differences, terrain response versions, etc) all the way down to trim levels from memory.

biggest change was about MY12, when the shifter went from a stick to a nob. I believe the 8 speed gearbox also came out about then.

Check out Topix for VIN details - http://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/

    Michael,

On the bottom of each AULRO page is a custom search page (searches AULRO only) and is very good for this type of query. Type "difference between 6 and 8 speed D4" into the search box and have a look at what threads pop up with previous people's thoughts on the topic. Hope that helps!

I have an MY12 HSE burger with the lot and love it. Power, comfort, capability and refinement.

It has the proximity / touch unlock (key just needs to be in my pocket), alpine pack, integrated blue tooth audio, voice commands (a bit clunky), maps and Gps, six speed auto and stick shift (no paddles or dial). Actually I prefer the stick to the dial, call me old fashioned.

Would prefer a faster head unit, and the DRL's but other than that very happy with this model.

I was hoping to look around the 2012 or 2013 SDV6 HSE. I love my toys in things so the HSE looks to be a better option.

now just to find a blue one with black seats

The first three are options on an HSE. Thought it would have front sensors though.
    Cheers, Mungus.
