Its not the putting the rod together but more catching the fish. So when I go home I have a reason why there is no fish for the freezer. ops: Mind you that wholesales fish market could be looking good if empty handed on way home.

Dont worry I will pack your gear at the back of trailer then "forget" to lock it between coomera and brissie. 8O

    Catch you later

Apparently the fishing is really good and should be moreso because of the weather conditions. Heres hoping as I wouldnt mind catching a feed of fish.

    Fishing? what fishing?????
ok, what are we talking about - beach or rock???
what kind of tackle are you taking? i have packed my rod but was wondering about my 12ft surf rod? (it is a bit heavy) (to hold that is!) what bait were you planning to use - are there pipi's there???
lotsa questions, but i would'nt mind catching a few myself....

    a 12ft rod is fine.

rock fishing at indian heads, rest is fishing in gutters in the surf.

as for bait, depends what you want to fish for.
    i have found that-
whiting and dart take worms or pippies from the beach
tailor and flathead take pillies or mullet fillets
tailor dart and bream take whitebait

[/b][/quote] Mate not that i have ever been to Fraser, but I would assume it would be beach fishing therefore would be dependant on the rod you are taking. I am packing 3 standard rods for the children and myself. I have a fair bit of tackle, including the star sinkers which is good dependant on the surf conditions. Bait once again I will assume there will be a place to get it before we head onto the island and they are usually a good source for the best type. 1 MORE SLEEP TO GO,

Stevo your gear will be safe only joking about leaving it behind

Also ONLY HALF A SLEEP TO GO, The guys on the coast will be a 3am start. Also Frazer is surf fishing so I would suggest surf rods. Aparantly the fishing is really good as the sun is coming up so 5:00 - 5:30am start.

    Cheers
