Thanks Hobie18 - will call them

Stevo - Hunter is keen (and coming - we are fortunate that we have him this coming weekend) but does not want us to drive so much - gets a bit boring for them I guess

We have a camper on the trailer now so hopefully set up is reduced. Have not fully set up the trailer yet so this is sort of a trial to make a list and get welding for our Xmas Moreton trip.

    Look forward to the itinerary
    Keith

89 Orange Rangie UTE - our play thing - sadly now sold
    75 Rangie/Series/Hybrid/LS3 - Bumblebee with a sting!!!!
2018 RRS - The new touring vehicle - replaces 2012 RRS

So can someone advise where the group is camping on the beach?
What time is the first ferry?
Is anyone else planning to go early?

What is the tour plan on the Island? We would really like to see the lakes - not so much the top of the Island as a long drive for not much. We also plan some fishing time.

We plan to come back Sunday night as have work/school

Josh (Ringin) will probably come up Friday night - does anyone know when the last ferry goes?

The camp spot is where you, x-box and I camped at the last trip on the flat ground about half a km from the Maheno wreck.

As to ferrys they run from 5:30am to 5:00pm being the last one.

Have an itnerary set up for the weekend but can be changed to suit the group once all on the island.

    Guys,

Unfortunately I'm out (Again ), 2 pullouts in 2 weeks not good.
My apologies again, but have a fair bit going on at work, and can't get out or away from it at the minute.
I'm not in a postion to say "p off I don't the money either"!

if I don't get away or bush soon, I'll crack like a US postal worker!

Have a great time guys, hope the weather lifts.

Thanks for that - I like the idea of a plan too

Who will be camping on the beach - we will go to the spot form last time if we get over before anyone else?

Do we have a special barge price again for 4x4 and trailers like last time?

    Hi Keith

Should be no problems camping where we were last time as it is not school holidays. The reason for haeding back there is its nice and flat and we can get all campers and tents on site.

Will be onto Mantaray now to get price for club and will post back.

Seeing as you will be there before all of us can you stay on ch33 and listen out for us will call you up when in the area should be there about lunch time.

    See you on th eisland.

    Okay

We have a group dicount for the ferry - they will be charging us for taking trailers across at all so it will be $60 return per vehicle.

keith as you will catch the ferry before us will give you owners name and number, let him know and he will sort out directly with you. We are looking at a saving of $30 per trailer.

here is web site for parks for permits
    www.epa.qld.gov.au/parks

It is quick and easy follow the steps through it will ask where we are camping just go to beach and other areas. For me for 2 people plus vehicle permit for 2 nights was $54.00.

Barge fees will be paid for on the barge by everyone at $60.00 per vehicle, please bring cash along.(Trailers are free)

Will leave it up to tail end charlie (stevo68) to let all know what when and how many sleeps to go.
