This is just an updated version to get through to 2010 when one is being released on a D3 chassis with the new engines.

This one is to carry on till then with a 2.7L Ford engine.

Got the bulged bonnet i assume to fit it in which looks good but will stop a tyre going on it.

Newer looking dash which looks quite good compared to currently... but still has a minimalist look.

Got side vents now to match the rest of the line and silver grill and light surrounds

    ah yeah

    not bad

guess got to be a defender enthusiast to spot the subtle changes... so won't think any less of you

you've progressed a lot over the years... few years back you hated defenders

    too late

and besides... the Rangy wouldn't be around if not for the defender... so respect your heritage you little whipper snapper

    haha too funny

the rangy was made for the elite class..so I guess thats why I like em
    Outlaw
    12:04 PM

hmmmm maybe if you've bought a Vogue

but i wouldn't classify a '90 model as elite unless you bought it in '90

but don't stress... i'll put you in Drivesafe's category if thats what you want

and of course me again with my oh so elite '73 model convertible

Very swish if i do say so myself

    hey mine has electric windows

    and central locking

    air cond that works

    there u go..
    Outlaw
    12:14 PM

Couldn't help yourself could you... hey i'll have more air-con then you, especially on the highway... i have Dukes of Hazard style entry which i think is way cooler than central locking but for $100 i could add that too... and who needs windows???

give up... you know you want to

you can't win when i'm being creative

    hehe

    Camo
    12:19 PM

easy for me..landrover havn't been creative since the 50's when they first made the old series

    still look the same

but if u into that sort of thing

Firstly Landrover was built pre world war 2 with the series 0 so 60 years ago. The series 1,2,3 and 110 have not changed that much over the same period as it has proven its self in that time, and Land Rover are still not looking to make changes even with the new model although the interior is the same design as the D3 disco if no one has picked that up yet.

Secondly in saying that LandRover also needed to keep up with the changing world hence the Rangie and the Disco, although the rangie and orginal landy where only meant for army not general public.

Third the Disco was Landrovers way of breaking into a new world market which they have done with the D1 - D3.

Fourth World domination in the luxury market with the Rangie

At the end of the day we all driver Landy's who cares which model, go and pick on the Nissan boys and Toyota, jeeps ect, because Discos are still the best all round 4x4 ever.

HAHAA Bolts I love the last quote

You make a point.. Outlaw should understand that all rovers are great..not just the Defender..geez

Defender - proven design, unbreakable (perfect 4x4 for Outlaw)

Range Rover - enough said... can't get a better 4x4 anywhere in the world

Disco - awsome car. Just one class under the Range Rover but still better
than any other 4x4. Good as a shopping trolley and also great
    offroad.

    There we go..all summed up

    You poor people........
Noticed how quiet the Defender owners are? BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE TO PROVE ANYTHING
Go back to your petty squabbling while we 'fender drivers sit back and relax and watch this thread progress

'99 'fender - it goes... (quite well actually!)

Look, seriously people , I dont really give a rats , the main thing is it is so nice to see us all "talking", gets a bit quiet on the ol GCLRO forum, so its great to see some life happening here . Plus when I say disco is king, its not because I feel the need to prove anything ( to coin a phrase, he he) but to just simply state the obvious . Taking it one step further and by saying the D3 is the king of kings . Hey also good to see that Bolts knows how to use google to get all the LR info, champion effort mate . Oops better do some work, gotta mortgage to pay,
