Bloody shame Craig, you'll be there in spirit I guess. Thanks again for your help on the reccee, much appreciated. Suppose you got to do the trip in one way

Okay, after the recce this trip has now been classed RED - G4 ORANGE, meaning those attending must have the following equipment as a minimum. The terrain has changed somewhat since Trav and I were last on these tracks and as such, some sections are very tricky and require diff locks to traverse. There are some sections that may result in slight panel damage so please keep this in mind before coming along.
If anyone has any concerns or questions about the terrain or vehcle set up, please contact me as soon as possible - 0422 132 225. You can see pics from our recce here

    MINIMUM VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS:
    • Minimum AT Tyres (No highway bias tyres)
    • Rated front & rear recovery points
    • Recovery gear (Snatch, shackles, gloves)

    • Fire Extinguisher
    • First Aid kit

NOTE: As we have had a small amount of rain, the area may have some small mud holes and some uphill sections might be a bit slippy. I would not expect anything rediculous however, depending on how much rain has fallen or falls in the Beerwah area between now and the weekend, conditions may change significantly. I will keep an eye on the weather and if there is anything significant to report I will post back on this thread.

Hey, hey gang - I'm still in.

Absolutley tounging for this one, can't wait.
Got the 33"s on, got the permit and still haven't washed car since City View so all is good.

Only trick is can't stay overnight, have to work Sunday.

And seeing as though I'm now based on the Sunshine Coast I may meet you at the one of the turn off's not the BP - will call on the day.

    See y'all there.

All over it Trav like a cheap suit. Thinking I might give big red a nudge this time as well with a bit of guidance and a winch capable car waiting at the top Probably shouldn't get too cocky eh before we even get there and will asses when we reach the bottom of it
