I don't give a ****, I fill the tank when it's empty with anything that is resemblance to unleaded fuel

Espeiclly with my crap fuel consumption. Discount vouchers are a farce and lucky to save a whole $2 by using one so I don't bother. Nor do I spend 1/2 hour looking for the cheapest fuel, this is pointless as you use all the extra fuel in looking for the cheapest in reality you're not getting much of a saving. I know people who do this

In my days supplying tanker prime movers to the fuel coys. in Brisbane, I found they quite happily and regularly swapped volumes of product around amongst each other, so who knows what fuel from what source ends up in the servo's tanks.

As far as ethics and quality control go, try this one.
One of the major Brisbane oil depots at Eagle Farm/ Pinkenba had a stuff up pumping product around the tank farm, and ended up with two tanks of motor spirit/distillate shandy. The solution was to provoke a strike so the servo operators would be desperate anything to top up their tanks before & immediately after the strike. "Well, mate, all we've got is some shandy, do you want it, your responsibility. Don't blame us if there is any comeback?"

Only ever use BP Ultimate, try and fill up when the price is lower but don't go chasing around looking for a cheaper price - can't be bothered

You might get it from a distributor who has pumps. I used to get discount fuel that way.

True - most of the time. I bought $30 worth of wine a couple of weeks ago and got the 20 cent/litre voucher for Coles Express. So I fuelled up with 150 litres of petrol and LPG. Saving $30 - the cost of the 6 bottles of wine. The difference being that I drive past thios servo every day on my way to work so it's not out the way.

Re Woolies discounts, on LPG the local Woolies is often 10 cents/litre cheaper than the other brands. Add the discount and 14 cents/litre isn't bad.

Whoops, maybe I shoud not have voted either. I avoid BP here in WA although they are the major supplier. The diesel I have gotten form Kalgoorlie, Kambalda, Esperance seems to burn faster than Woolworths/Caltex. Go figure and the last batch I had on a long trip seemed to make it very sluggish as well. Took a tank and a half to get it back to normal. Maybe BP are putting something in at their servos, who knows?
I have found Woolworths fuel here to be Ok and they are the only ones who will put a sign up guaranteeing no ethanol. Most of the fuel stations here are on our way in or out of town so not a long distance or aout of the way for any of them. The dockets are a trap, but hey a tank of fuel and an iced coffee cost the same as a tank of fuel at some. There is a local scheme with a card that as you make purchases a certain amount gets added to the card and keeps adding up for the month with no limit, so if you are buying anyway can be a a huge saving. The shell/coles wine offer looks good.
