    tilting headlights

has any one got tilting headlights in their series i or 11 disco?
you know the ones that you can alter the beam height with a switch on the dash.
i would like to upgrade my disco to do this as i have fitted super bright lamps, i know it was an option on my model, but have never seen them.

Speak to Jeff (Fat50) as he retro fitted his D2 with electric tilting head lights recently - from memory it was just a kit he bought and it seemed prety straight forward.........extremely straight forward for a man with your techincal know how I would assume Harry

    Good luck, Mick

P.S. Might be easier getting in touch with 4wdmatt (jeff's) friend as Jeff is rarely on here.

Got em fitted on my TD5 defender, what did you want to know about em other than

4 heights to compensate for differing loads in the back (i just do the suck it and see thing) I always set em at most dipped when in the city and top height when empty on the highway.

Nothing new under the sun. I once ( regrets, regrets, that I sold it. The bloody thing is probably worth half a million today) owned a 1927 Rolls Phantom that had manually dipping headlights. There were three levers outside the body on the drivers side. The gearshift, the handbrake, and the dipper which pushed/pulled rods that tilted the great headlamps through a range from so close to be useless up to possum shooting.
