Yep, wishing Harry a safe and eventful trip - and here's hoping he takes lots and lots of pics .
Will be some great camp-fire banter when he gets back

well thanks guys, i am in austria now and have found a nice 'fender for you josh, took some pics as it is worth copying.
as for the autobahn - a golf does do 200kph!!!!!!!!!!
and i didn't look like catching the two porsches, and the golf still had a bit left in it, but i had to button off.
mind you most of the drive from vienna to weiner nustadt was at speeds over 160 kph - sort of gets your attention sitting on the wrong side of the car with a concrete wall flashing by, mind you the semi's were all travelling well over the 100k mark too

Harry at least you can see what speeds highways should travel at over 6 lanes - None of this bl***y 100km and OOO if your lucky 110km.

yes glyn, the way to go is ok and fast, but we need the roads to do this on, aussy roads cannot cope with this sort of travel.
like when at speed i was on a four or five lane highway with a dividing wall between me and the opposite traffic, and i mean four or five lanes going in the same direction, so all the slow gadgets were on the outside so i didn't have a problem with going fast,
the drivers here don't hog the fast lane, if something faster is comingup behind them they move over as soon as they can, got to admit, i hogged the fast lane, but nothing wanted to get close, and although i had just got off an aeroplane trip of over 24 hours, it was easy to do, but i am a student of 'sir jack, and his mate 'stirling, so i am p'raps a bit more careful than some, and age has it's own system of making you careful, and happy birthday from me to bolts.
well tomorrow i am off to stuttgart, munich first,, so i will have more autobahn fun,
mind you, it's been fun driving around here also,
sorta gets your attention, rounding a corner in a 70 or 80 k road and finding a 20 k 30 tonne friggin wide tractor in front, i have tested the brake computer.
any got to go, exams in the morning, not all beer and skittles you know.
    Safe Travels
    harry
