Glad to hear that Josh is okay.

Heya guys thanks heaps for all the well wishes and sms/calls.. is very much appreciated and does help to know you've got good mates out there when down in the dumps.

Feeling a lot better as of saturday... had most of the D3 electronics removed and now doen to just one 30k vacuum pump (seriously) which will stay attached when i go home... which if all goes wells may be tuesday as everything is working internally the way it's meant too and eating solid food as of today.

As Louis said, i've got crohns and this latest op was a biggie... my surgeon is extremely pleased with himself (the smug you-know-what) which i'm happy about. The op to remove part of my bowel usually takes 2hrs but as everything was so screwed up from previous ops and from the illness went for 5hrs. Did 3 resections and even scored a free gall bladder removal while he was in there as would be too dangerous to do later down the track if anything ever went wrong.

So extremely happy is an under-statement.

Will take another couple weeks recovery at home once out and see how things go but will be a good couple months before i get offroad again i think.

Thanks again everyone for everything Catch up at the AGM if all goes well

Hey Josh, kind of know what you're going thru, my Mum was diagnosed a few years ago. One side of the family has a legend about the 'McLean gut' which of course was probably crohns going back many generations. I started noticing in my late 20's that not all foods, erm, agree with me anymore. I'm still no saint.

I went to uni with a guy with the last name McLean and he had crohns. He came from Bundaberg.
