Gents have stripped dash board and checked the electrics as well as speedo cable all seems good - put it back and i still dont have a fuel gauge working or a speedo What else could it be - what do I need to check where ect as at this stage I guess how fast the rangie travels or how much fuel she has or doesnt have. Thanks for the advice.

That's Lucas electrics for you. Fuel sendder could be shot and do gfail from time to time. Cheapish and easily fixed (or get a second hand one off Guy). Speedo is either angle drive or cable also cheap to fix and see Guy once again. If you can't get old Rangie parts off Guy I'm sure you're not trying hard enough

CV's could have bugger-all oil in them, that's one reason they make a bit of a racquet. Fill them up first and see how you go, if the noise is still there, replace.

D2 suspension and diff parts sadly don't retro-fit

    Thanks Trav

Have spoken to Guy and will take a trip to his place to get all the bits we need, as to speedo it is a cable all connected just not turning so will pull out and see once again what Guy has, also Trav how is getting a copy of workshop man from you - are you still okay with that.

    Cheers

That's fine, like I said I have a few copies that I have collected from Rangies I've owned in the past.

Reading this, I better remember to bring the workshop manual to the meeting tomorrow night.

    How's the Rangie going anyway
