Steve, spotted you once on the M1 near Helensvale just after I got my D3. Sorry to hear that you needed to sell her - but don't mind the replacement. I, too, am looking forward to the day when LR brings out a TDV8 D3. But I am not holding my breath just in case.

    Enjoy the D2, it looks a good'un...

    Congrats Stevo......looks very nice.
Hope to see it at the next meeting.

Now we can conspire together to mod our stock D2's.

I think lift is the first thing for me......mine just looks too low.

Justin...start churning out those D2 accessories.

Way ahead of you Paul, just ordered the steel for about 6 sets of sliders so I will be a busy boy next week.

Yes Mick Epson Green is nice as per Kathryns D2 but I wish I had Cream leather interior.

All in all Stevo they are a good truck, Kathryn,s has 110000 k;s and is going really well. (it might be quiet and comfortable but it aint no Isuzu RRC)

    I;ll get my grinder ready

Now there's so many Discos in the club, I have to stay a Rangie man by hook or by crook. And not a 'POS38' either, no offense Steinzy. Great vehicle, just won't own one myself

Can't desert the team now can I Justin We are a rare breed, even the BLROC there's only 2 classics left (minus me, but not for long )

Well just did another 160kms to pick up brats from Brissie, they are happy with it, though there were comments about no leather, Sat Nav etc but the DVD player is a big thumbs up. Have now done 400kms in 2 days, still havent hit half a tank so I know decision was the right one. Couple of things to get used to:

    • Cup holders in the front are crap, Red Bull just flips out and a coffee Ice Break doesn't fit.
    • Window a bit down blows my hair up and I get out looking like a cockatoo, having a ciggie is worse . Will have to get one of those thingies that blocks of the wind coming in.
    • No place to put bits and pieces bar in the console box so stuff is strewn between the little gear lever and the big lever.
    • Have to work out how to use the high range/low range gear stick and subsequent CDL....though Mick has volunteered to show me how.
    • No Sat Nav so a GPS will be in order.....Street directory just doesnt cut it anymore, though Sharlea is happy as she thought I was having an affair with the one in the D3
Other than that, handles pretty well, cruises nicely on the highway and will be easy to modify. Tomorrow is trailer day though have to get a plug thingy from the D2 to the trailer plug, so should be interesting. Thanks for all the positive comments, it wasn't easy letting go of the D3 or the $50k that has gone into it, but next time round will follow my own guideline that I let slip....never buy new unless someone else is paying for it ,

    Regards

    Stevo

Careful backing stuff out of the garage!
Thanks for all the positive comments
No worries, glad you're happy with it mate

Agree, rubbish, but you can buy larger ones for the D2 which are deeper and hold bigger drinks etc and sit either side of the gear stick..........have been meaning to get some for mine for ages so perhaps we can do a bulk order of 4
    • Window a bit down blows my hair up and I get out looking like a cockatoo, having a ciggie is worse . Will have to get one of those thingies that blocks of the wind coming in. STOP SMOKING
    • No place to put bits and pieces bar in the console box so stuff is strewn between the little gear lever and the big lever. Yep, annoying I agree especially when you try and go into low range and your mobile gets squashed in the process
    • Have to work out how to use the high range/low range gear stick and subsequent CDL....though Mick has volunteered to show me how. Anytime you're ready, will show you how......plus should show Bolts before he strips his gears from using it wrong
    • No Sat Nav so a GPS will be in order.....Street directory just doesnt cut it anymore, though Sharlea is happy as she thought I was having an affair with the one in the D3 Yep, GPS' are so cheap these days it's a easy fix.
