    New to Landrovers

    G'Day all,
I have just purchased a 1961 Series 2a for $500. I have always wanted to restore a landrover and now find myself in a position to do so. My new series 2 has been sitting in a paddock for perhaps 20 years and requires a total rebuild. Not too much rust but has got a few bits missing, Radiator, manifold and carb, generator or alternator (?) but it is basically complete. I have rebuilt other cars in the past, Alphas the odd Honda etc and have reasonable mechanical skills however I know next to nothing about Landrovers except that I like them! We have just bought a house at Mt Nathan having moved here from Mackay a few months ago. Would the GCLRO be interested in someone such as myself as a new member?
    Regards
    Dave Tointon

    welcome dave,
of course we would be interested in having you around. i am sure we have many members interested in seeing you get this project up and running.
if it is an ex military vehicle the remlr members are right into getting oldies back into shape also.
see our membership stuff on the club site and pop down for a chinwag at our meetings in nerang, first thursday each month.
look out there will be a series of series lovers wanting to know more about it soon.
    Safe Travels
