    Coffs for New Years

    Hey All,

The Lanoux's will be spending New Years in the Coffs area again this year, camping at Glenreagh from about 28th to 2nd. Anyone that wants a low key country camping new years is more then welcome to head down for a couple of days of relaxation and some driving. Likewise anyone else that will be in the area for the break that wants to arrange a drive let me know, including locals (Longstroke ).

Camp grounds at Glenreagh should be very quiet and are pretty cheap, and with flushing toilets and gas hot showers are more then comfortable. Powered and non powered sites available. And the best bit......cross the railway and drive straight up the hill to the fun suff

Hope everyone has a safe and merry silly season

Tentative, is there plenty of space to camp being that time of the year it's a bit chaotic everywhere? It depends on the dunga as I have to sort out a cooling issue and make sure that's all good before I subject the poor thing to more abuse

I missed out on 2 Coffs trips the club has done so I'm tempted.

Thats the great thing about back road camp grounds in one pub towns that do not advertise I think there was 3 vans there last Christmas There is sometimes a little traffic as it is the showground/sportsground/steam train but the most people i have seen was about 20 cars from a SE Qld 4wd club one time and about the same another time from a motor home club. Town has a public pool, the Pub, Steam Train (probably not running during the week though, but you never know being holidays), creek, and nice and close to the 4wd action About 30mins from both Grafton and Coffs, 20min to Moonee Shopping Centre.

In the area?????? Not much closer to Coffs then it is to the Gold Coast

The driving in the area is 5mins away and there is plenty of it I'll save the 4hr drive for the trip home

Have fun on this trip, i thought about it, but thats as far as it got

But having killed my rear diff today, its probably a good thing it wasn't any more than just a thought - that would be a long way to drive in front wheel drive

Not doing too badly only the second rear diff centre - no axles yet. Touch wood. Happy New Year.

Have a good trip down there, was wanting to go but I have too much crap to do here at the moment getting the Disco ready for rego and helping a mate with a 'project' which includes plenty of drinking in-between

Hope you find some ripper track sof the next Coffs trip

    Glenreagh

Just got back early as Patrick was crook

Left Eric and Greg ( with my Silverstones) to do the exploring with Phillipe, so hopefully will have some new tracks to attack. At least I got 1 night in the new trailer set up. Turned out ok.
