    Ormeau

Top job guys, yes would have been a hot one. Wish I could have been there but the Isuzu rattled the intercooler off the motor.

Not to be left out I jumped on the tractor and slashed the ''Camel trophy paddock'' Mud ,rocks, 35 deg angles, holes you cant see bla bla bla. Still trying to get my sphincter to work properly. At least I did'nt need to get the Rangy and winch the tractor out again.

    Great photos as well.

Good day, completely rooted after all that.

The dunga sufferd a fair bit of damage, but I was still able to drive it home . My LRA flares are not non-existent on the rear after hammering them on the rocks, one bent gearbox mount (rubber still intact, have a spare) bent RHS guard and one completly smashed rear RHS tailight (have spare too). My exhaust has a nasty leak in it somewhere so off to the exhaust shop I go tomorrow and the fuel tank is now about 6 liters less thanks to that rock I leaped over

Tell you what, an LT77 with 33's with std gearing SUCKS BIGTIME . At least with an auto I can control the revs more and drive a bit more finess and my lack of manual off-road driving in the last decade really shone through today I was constantly having problems with geting the right speed over some of the real difficult sections and with a knackerd 3.5 with 400+k's on the dial that doesn't help with compression...or lack of it.

Once again, great day with a good crew as well. thanks to Shepp and Outlaw for there assistance with getting the dunga through that creek run.

The track is in Ormeau in SE Qld.

I dont have any video footage, but there should be some..

Shepp had his camera out a bit, and Mick cable tied his to the Disco roof!

Cracking day guys and more so because we conquered the track and all drove our cars home again. Although we all suffered some slight damage, it all semed to be largely cosmetic and given the severiy of some of the sections....in fact the entire track, that is quite remarkable IMO. There were plenty of diff crunching and tail shaft snapping opportunities from start to finish.
Whole track is about 0.8-1k long we reckon with NO let up at any part. Every metre has to be driven with full concentration and guidance, hence why it took us the best part of about 5 & 1/2 hours to get 5 cars through. Each car was on it's own winch many times and after a few winches, we had it pretty well sorted.
Hoping that my camera tied to my roof catches some decent footage but once Camo has had a chance to play with all 3 tapes, maybe he can edit some magic together.
Really is a great track but one of those once you're in your in kind My kind of track every time......although is has given me more reason to try and create a more "friendly" front bar for the mack truck. The ARB bar is simply no good for this sort of stuff unless you have a huge lift as all it does is stops you being able to nose up onto steep rocks or ledges........a lot of track building was done yesterday I can tell you
Very happy to have conquered this track at long last and I would definitely do it again, so if any of you interstaters are up this way soon, let us know and we'll put another team together

Big thanks to Shepp, Josh, Camo, Pete, Stikman (& Chloe) & Trav for all the guidance and spotting with each car. Great day out even if it was a full day's work out......but then that is what 4wding is all about

    Until next time, Mick

P.S. Great pics Pete, particularly pics 2 & 3 as they given some perspective on what the terrain was like.

I will run round with rocks and straps as needed!

You need to allow all day, just in case.
