			Adventures of "Land Rover Man"

So first a blog on LR man.

LR Man is a true enthusiast. His blood is green, he has a "go anywhere" RRC in the shed he built with his bare hands. He has assorted LR's scatterd around his lair. He thinks he knows all things LR ( not ) ( not )

So pretty common species on this forum.

So LR man sets off on a quest to bring home the new D3 to add to his collection. Flies to Sydney from the GC all is well. Hands over cash and speeds away smirking and feeling very proud of himself. Pulls into a service station at 5.00 am full of punters going to work.
Jumps out of the D3 and proceeds to stare strangely at the dash board and other areas. Closes the door and walks around the car as the punters all look on with that "LR tosser" look on their faces.
So keeping up the facade LR man carefully sneaks around to the passenger side door and stealthily slips in and gets out the vehicle manual.
AHHHHHHHH he says to himself, thats how you open the F.......ng fuel door.

 Nuf said????????

ps stay tuned for more adventures of LR man

Not quite a landy story but...

Reminds me of the time I first tried to put fuel in my Humber Super Snipe Mk IV. Bought it second hand many years ago. When I arrived at the servo I remembered I left the owners book at home. Walked around the car many times trying to find the filler cap. Where could it be? Not under the rear rego plate, not in the boot. It was no where to seen, hmmmmmm...........finally. Do you know????

.....you haven't tried to fit the hitch yet .................. ..................

.....or get the head light washer to work on command.. .. ..

and as Stevo said...changing a tyre. Not for the faint hearted or those who haven't purchased a new bottle jack.

Please, all you experienced Discovery 3 owners or ex-owners please keep this ammunition coming so every time I see Justin with his latest addition Land Rover I can have some fun teasing him.
I may have to keep a list in my little organiser, fuel cap lever, headlights auto off, tow hitch, spare tyre, what else...
 Mater.

P.S. Justin, if it was me waiting behind you at the fuel station, I would have offered you a tow with my LR and the drag chain I carry! (pop the bonnet if you know how otherwise I also carry a axe, and I'll wrap the chain around the engine as you have not got a front recovery point clearly exposed like your 4BDITi...

So I guess you flew down to Sydney and we didn't go exploring local tracks hey... No I'm not ****ed, just having some fun.
