Thanks Josh and everybody else I appreciate your input
I actually like the noise of a twin prop plane
Noise is not really my issue; I am looking for off road claws but want to drive to Landcruiser Park without changing tires.

Not really concerned about mileage the D1 is mainly a "Club Car"

    Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ ???

    Centipedes

Mickey claw radials seem to be great tyres.. or the JT2's... or krawlers if the budget will stretch (though not positive if come in 33")

I run the 285/75R16 Silverstone MT 117 Sports on my LR 7" rims all the time and they have performed flawlessly for me both on and off road. Wear rate is excellent, much better than the BFG muds I had on before, grip on rock is far superior than the BFG's and for the price at the time (paid $238 a tyre) I would buy them again for sure.

    Best of luck, Mick

Mate I'm running Federal Couragias 285/75 on factory D2 alloys. First time I have tried this tyre and well worth the money performed well on and off road and at the time only paid $235 a tyre, but think they have gone up in price since then. They come out of the same factory as BFGs and Mickey Thompson tyres. Would definately get them again provided they dont go up too much more in price.

    Federal MT price

Now about $265 a tyre last time I priced them, still the cheapest decent branded 33 inch tyre on the market in a 16 inch.

15 inch sizes are cheaper than the $$$ to go and buy rims is it really worth it

I took the advise of our canny Scott friend, (Thanks Mick ) they are good value, and after watching Trav at Landcruser .
I was still torn over whether to get the Radial Claws, the internet reviews of this tyre are great, but the price and Trav's performance on his won the day.
    So Cheeky now sports 33x11 Silverstone MT-117 (285 75 16 in metric)
