Bloody oath it's an auto I wouldn't have bought it otherwise

They're not a bad vintage, prefer the 94 onwards dash though but still who cares for that price . The Disco that I had in the past was the same year although dark green in colour. The blue interior is not overly pleasnt (I had beige although it was a bugger to keep clean) but I can live with it plus it has a console even if it's cheap nasy and '5 minute' plastic one (the Disco I had didn't have one, had one of those dodgy zip bags consoles attached to it ).

I'll post up a pic of my old Disco if I can find a pic and scan it.

    Very funny

I'll still have a Rangie in my collection, I hanker for one even with Disco ownership. If I trash the Disco body, I may even put a Rangie body on top and use the Disco dash but Rangie seats (I will miss my armrests, looking at putting Rangie vogue seats in over time ).

    Rangie body fit

Would be an interesting project. I'd do it if I trashthe Disco bodywork, which will happen over a period of time, retro-fit the Disco dash, etc.. as it all fits (only thing that needs changing is the headlight switch). Mike Hall (previous owner of Rover Care) did a few of these and they come up pretty goodif I remember

You might be onto something there Guy

Disco's are in plague numbers at the moment, but all that interbreeding will be their downfall you'll see. Maybe the collicie virus may yet have another use.

To tell you the truth if it wasn't for the ''p'' plate no v8 rule, i would most likely be a rangie owner not a disco owner, always had a soft spot for rangies

Glad they didn't have that when I got my license 13 odd years ago (now 31) nor didI have to put those P plate cards on the window (In Vic yes but when I moved up to QLD no I never put them on).

Still prefer the mighty Rangie, but as I said before money talks even if it's a Discovery. Picking it up tomorrow arvo and taking down to Jimboomba as I can't see me having time to have it regoed before I move house.
