    Drowned

    Hi all
Here is a photo of my mate Shamo's D1 last weekend at Cruiser Park. He was on a roll all day, making it up everything he went for. And to top it all off he lined up the biggest hole in the pig pen and.....

got water all through the interior, nothing was dry. Got water in the engine too as the snorkel leaked. But we got the tdi going again which is good.
But just to put the cherry on the cake, he opened his door while I was snatching him out, let go of it and bent the door all the way back. Nearly snapped off the hinges and made a pretty impressive dent in the door. It was an impressive snatch though, in front of everyone at Cruiser Park who turned up just as he drowned it. We joined two snatch straps together, and I just gave it to it in 2nd gear low range and the snatch straps did what they had to do.

Luckily he has able to drive it home, and with the interior stripped and dried it should be all good again. And may I say this is the second time this has happened to him.

    Cheers
    Hendrik

Not the first time hey. Funny, he seems like the type that readily takes advice, like always walk to check for depth.

But what would us old farts know

Luckily he had a Decent friend there with him to save his bacon.

Yeah I guess...peer pressure made him do it, we all fall victim to that sometimes.

You can actually use the water in that mud hole at Land Crusier Park, for GRINDING PASTE.

I also had a mate years back who did the same thing and within a couple of weeks the vehicle leaked oil from the Diff's.Transfer Case, Engine, Swivels.

You will never find me in that stuff. I'll see if I can find the video.
