    Busmans found a hacker ???

After hours/days/weeks of looking we have found a vehicle that should do the job.
95 D1 TDi Manual, ARB Suspension, Slight lift (still to measure to what extent,, ARB Bullbar & spotties, Dual Batterys, near new set of BF Mudders, Air Compressor inbuilt etc etc.
Has a few dents around it to add some character
Flying down to Sydney on Tuesday to pickup.
Will feed some photos when back on coast.
    Cheers Dave

Sounds good, not a Rangie but the next best thing I guess plus tdi economy you can't complain. Still a safer bet than the D3 off-road in those tight gullies (ie-not panel friendly).

Yeah Trav, Gave the D3 the big clean today and noticed a couple of the alloys rims damaged etc etc, thus wont be disappointed in leaving it home when more heavy duty trips come up.
The cost to repair one of these is crazy, so the D1 was the best option.
The D1 has got some pretty good gear and set up better.
Went for diesel due to cost for rego etc etc.
    Will post some pics soon
    Cheers Dave

    I know Justin !!
He mentioned to me that he had an offer of $6,000 just for the engine???
I think he was fed up with some bull and thought the car was worth alot more
I would of bought it for sure, but the price just went out of control.
This D1 is not a bad unit and well set up.
The guy just bought a D3 and is a mechanic, thus has been looked after well with good service history.
All ABR running gear must of cost him a quid !!
Got some character with some battle damage !!
