    Project Dungas replacement

Yep you heard right, Project dunga is to be retired and stripped come October when rego will expire. Rememebr the dunga was never a long term project hence the meserly amount of $$$ spent, if it had to be fixed it was. It's been bloody good service to me as well

Okay, it's a 1992 Range Rover (of course, Discos just don't do it for me sorry ). It a top of the range Vogue SE so fully optioned with leather electric seats, sunroof (not working), ABS brakes, woodgrain trim and all the fancy bits that the SE spec offers. Only issue is the ZF auto is shot to pieces (reverse works ). It's had a fair amount of work done by the previous owner including new head gasket and recon heads, radiator, ABS accumulator, pads, rotors and caliers have all been done, new exhaust, new hood lining, new Michelin tyres, new fuel pump, new Viscous coupling in the transfer case and other stuff. Plenty of $$$ spent and all for the measerly sum of $1K

I have a ZF auto in the Disco (wrecking now, PM for parts) and a LT230 to match so it shouldn't be too much to have it registerd. I won't be taking the dunga off the road til well after the Logan Challenge, Glasshouse as I just won't have it all done in time and like I said, regoed til October anyway so I have plenty of time

The new beast is on it's way from Sydney as we speak (been picked up today). Should have it by the end of the week I hope before I go away to Rover park. Can't wait

Thanks Justin. The though of me driving a Discovery doesn't seem right Been there, done that.

The good thing about the Disco was it donated the ZF/LT230 for the Rangie I just bought (at $1250 for a whole Disco, wreckers want that for the ZF on it's own probably more ). Starting the deconstruction tomorrow as they'res no bloody work around atm

PS- Have a rebuilt BW viscous coupling transfer for sale in the markets including a dud ZF for free (available in the next fornight).

    eh, travadachangacarsallatime eh mate.
welcome to the carsales forum, where trav buys cars and never sells them,

another trav find, in pristine condition, soon to be modified and debauched, christened with mud and scratched with lantana, creased in the lower panels and cut and lifted untill it clears tall buildings, with more traction than a steam train, bigger tyres than an aeroplane, able to leap rocks in a single low range gear, 1st low, locked centre, front and rear, that would be.
we welcome to travs stable the

    green mean fighting machine,

which is too long a tag for trav, so gmfm, for short.

Very funny Harry. I sell cars but in bits though

It already has a dent in the rear RHS (hard to see in the pic). Like the GMFM abbreviation. You might have given the Rangie it's new project name

Good buying Trav, I was talking to TM about it too, you must've been the other interested party!
I worked out the freight costs to be prohibitive to here, especially as it was a non driver. even for the 1K asking price it still wasn't going to be viable for me

Good to see you back in a Vogue SE, especially one in that condition

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

Thanks Justin. I had to act quickly, I passed up a real good Vogue (not an SE) a few months ago and I was kicking myself that I didn't buy it. Thankfully I have a ZF auto and LT230 out of the Disco I'm wrecking to get it going again.

Cost Door to Door from Sydney to my place here in Jimboomba QLD was $750 9not bad actually, I had a Rangie towed from the Sunshine Coast to my old place in marsden a few years back and it cost nearly $300 ).
