Especially a problem when you dont usually have the big feet and roof rack on all the time.
G'day All,
Just a heads up....literally.....went to see Transformers last night with the kids down at Robina. Had been there during the day and parked at top carpark...where it reads as 2.2 metres....no worries. At night when I went to the DJ's car park....it read 2.1 metres ( now why they cant have some freakin consistency is beyond me)......anyhoo....thought she'll be right.
Clunk...................Clunk..................as the carpark bar whacked both cross bars. Oh well we're in I guess. Then with a line of cars behind us on way out after the movie......lined it up as straight as possible so as not to catch an edge.....others there would have been man tears.......Clunk.........Clunk........and off we went. Went and checked this morning....but all good.
Moral of the story.......know the height of your beasty.......next time will take Sharlea's car,
Regards
Stevo
P.S. Movie was awesome as is new cinema's......exxy though......luckily we got a discount.
Especially a problem when you dont usually have the big feet and roof rack on all the time.
lucky you didn't get stuck elsewhere though Stevo... remember those bars are the minimum height required within the carpark itself eg: low hanging pipes, lights, signs etc in the carpark itself

Due to an indiscretion at Sundown NP I only have 2 out of the 3 crossbars on and the luggage carrier is off as well.....otherwise wouldnt have made it through at all. As for the movie...kids and myself loved it....to coin a phrase of a mate of mines....."it was a crackin movie". Will watch again at home on DVD with a few brews next time
,
