    Pebbly Beach 2012

Thanks to everyone who came along on the pebbly beach trip.

We had a good turnout and the weather was kind too, with a decent amount of sun.

Most of us met at BP Chinderah, meeting up with harry and the hohars at Grafton.

Only 1 mechanical issue on the way was the front prop uj on the 101 about 5km from camp, which harry hh and dave removed on the track to get them going again.

It was good to see the 101 on a trip. hopefully we see it out again soon!

Sorry I dont have pics of everyone. I also dont have any of the creek either which was really nice to swim in and we spent a couple of hours in there on the saturday and sunday.

We along with the Hampsons, Xbox, and the R's were the last to leave and 3 of us stopped for dinner at a really nice pizza place in Bangalow.

Got home about 730/8 last night. spent an hour under the car with a hose straight away!..

Thanks again to everyone who came. We had a really nice trip and I hope everyone else did and got home safely.

    cheers Pete

Good report there Pete, and some good pics too!
JohnR will no doubt post some pics as well later, and I'll put some up as well later in the week, just too much on at the moment to sort them.....
It was a good trip, well led, good campsite, great weather, salty river frolics and a good campfire. Great people too!
Very enjoyable indeed, except that just about every rivet, bolt and screw has rattled loose on the gravel road in and back out.... I never knew the fender could have more rattles and squeaks than it already had
On the plus side my solar panel worked a treat - no more flat battery and warm beer!!!

'99 'fender - it goes... (quite well actually!)

Thanks Pete et al for another great trip.

I'd never been to Pebbly Beach before and it's such a great spot. Highlights for me were Harry falling off the ladder and surviving with just his pride and a few ribs bruised, Carolin's fruit cake, seeing 3 big (~1m) turtles swim into the creek, snatching the 101 and finding the toilets (after a fruitless search with Dave's Mum as spotter).

I had to take off on Saturday arvo and was blessed with a lot of rain from Byron north which washed out all the salt water ingested in the creek crossing

    Here's some pics:

When you getting that snorkel Dave?

    Talking 2012 Pebbly Beach

Like everybody has said a great weekend And by all accounts we had miles better weather than SE Qld

Great place Pebbly Beach and it is kept fairly secluded by the creek crossing to get in. Nobody likes salt water in their car but worth it all the same.

The kids had a blast, We had a blast. Great Camping, Very relaxing and most importantly Great company

I've gone for the retro look with the photo's I hope you enjoy

    Bring on the next trip!!

    Cheers,

    A couple more....

Fantastic rainbow on Friday arvo; always hard (for me) to capture on camera. I thought it was much brighter than this.

    Before sunrise on Saturday.
