    Manar park

Thanks to the members who came on this trip all the way up in the middle of nowhere, it is quite a drive from the coast even if you don't get lost along the way.
I came home from work thursday night then packed the car friday morning and with ear plugs in set off on a 6 hour mission, my GPS nearly had flying lessons out the window after getting me off track to say the least.

Once at the park I met up with Darren and Greg who had a good camp fire going and shortly after Tim turned up in the game, Grimace and Pete arrived later that night.

Saturday morning we set off early to sign in and pay the camping fees before covering about half the park, the river was nice with a bit of sand driving and a refreshing swim.

Later in the day we had a look at the waterfall which some buggy's drive up, most people would have trouble just climbing it on foot let alone in a buggy.

On the way back my car spat the oil seal out of the steering box so Pete helped out getting some tools and bits to make a temporary repair, worked well and got me home.

Sunday saw everyone pack up early and head home.

    Thanks,

    Eric

Was a good weekend. Thanks for organising Eric.

Also thanks for doing most of the repair work on my fuel lines when that stick got flicked up and oblitereated both the return and feed line on where they came out of the fuel filter. When that happened I thought I would be going home on a truck!

Here are a few pics I took.

One of the hill climbs. I decided to drive down this without checking it... had both rear wheels off the ground on one of the ledges:

    Greg also trying:

Tim - I think everyone was impressed with where Tim gets the game to go!!:

And now for something different, on the way home Tim, Grimace and myself dropped in at the old homestead at Boondooma which was pretty interesting.

Thanks again Eric, and hope everyone got home ok.

    Cheers
    Pete

Well I finally got photos loaded up. Thanks Eric for leading the trip, was a long way to go but it was a good weekend. I didn't take a lot of photos as I was too busy driving for a lot of it but there are a few good ones. I have to work out where and how to post up videos as I have a couple of attempts at the hill climbs on video.

Anyway here are a few -

And if you want to have a look there are a few more here Manar Park 24 & 25 Nov 2012 album | TimJ | Fotki.com, photo and video sharing made easy. including some of the Boondooma homestead.
